The money raised from this Christmas Appeal will be used to support the following:

- Skye Sanctuary - The orphaned and injured otters in care at our Skye sanctuary. Thanks to your help we now have excellent new facilities and enclosures but funds are always needed to cover food, vet bills, etc.

- Team Otter - Increasing the number of children involved all around the world in our Team Otter education programme we already have clubs in Montenegro, Bangladesh and the UK and are working on clubs in Guyana, Mexico, Nepal and Indonesia. These clubs will be connected with one another through IOSFs Team Otter Facebook and website. They will also have the opportunity to learn about wildlife, cultures and environmental issues in other countries through our pen pal programme.

- Worldwide projects - Supporting research and conservation projects worldwide, for example in Kenya, Nepal, Malaysia.

- Guyana Otters - And in particular we want to raise funds to develop the research being carried out at Yupikari in Guyana into the Giant and Neotropical Otters. We have seen first-hand how valuable this work is, as there is so little information about otters in Guyana, and without this they are at risk.
