Back for its 7th year, the Ipswich Dragon Boat Festival has grown into Brave Futures’ flagship fundraising event, raising vital, life-changing funds for children and young people affected by sexual abuse. This year, the festival is bigger and bolder than ever, with an ambitious target of 30 teams taking to the water and the action spreading right across the waterfront.

As the boats race along the river, the entire quayside comes alive with colour, energy and community spirit. More than just a sporting spectacle, the Dragon Boat Festival is a powerful statement of solidarity – standing together against child sexual abuse and showing survivors that they are seen, believed and never alone. Brave Futures provides specialist, trauma-informed support, helping young people feel safe, recover and rebuild their lives.
