We bring people together to overcome adversity and develop new skills by combining local knowledge and passion with the expertise of our national operation. Our volunteering projects are created by the community, for the community.

Story

Join us for Volunteering Matters' Annual Charity Golf Day in association with CFB UK and sponsored by Source One Consulting!

Proceeds from the day will be donated to our charity, Volunteering Matters, to support our work across Suffolk.

At Volunteering Matters, we bring people together to overcome society's most complex issues, building stronger communities and a more inclusive society, through the power of volunteering. We do this by working with local communities, turning local knowledge and energy into action and progress. Our volunteer-led projects help reduce social isolation and loneliness, build skills, confidence, and opportunity, improve mental and physical health, and make sure young people can lead change.

This includes our mentoring programmes in Suffolk which support young people, including those leaving the care-system, to aspire and achieve their dreams with the support of a volunteer mentor. Last year, 71% of young people supported by a mentor moved into education, employment or training, including Abraham.

With every £50 raised through this golf day, we will be able to help more young people develop their skills and opportunities. If you would like to consider becoming a mentor yourselves, please visit our website for more information: Grandmentors and Equip Mentoring.
