FUNDRAISER FOR PUBLIC BLEED KIT
Coastwatch Irvine has started a public fundraiser to get a public access bleed control kit for the Irvine beach and harbourside.
Public access bleeding control kits are used to stop severe bleeding from critical injuries until emergency services can arrive. Kits contain trauma dressings, tourniquets and haemostatic gauze. Similar to public defibrillators, bleed kits are stored in lock boxes and can be accessed by calling 999.
We are looking for £500 to fund this kit and install it. We are also looking for any businesses able to design and make a sign for the kit. Anyone who makes a donation over £30 will have their name included in the sign as a contributor to the kit. If you are donating as a business your logo will be included on the sign.
If we raise more than £500, any extra will be ring-fenced for kit upkeep, like replacing out-of-date items and keeping it ready to use.
