Opening Doors

Help more international students find a home from home in London. We're raising £100,000 to help run our full programme of scholarships, welfare support and cultural events when we open the doors to our new building in 2026.

International Students House (ISH) is a charity that enables young people from around the globe to achieve their academic ambitions. We provide accommodation, scholarships and hardship funds to support students in need, and cultural activities to foster an international community.

Story

Help us open doors for international students in London

In January 2026, we collect the keys to our first brand new building at 238 Kennington Lane. This milestone means we can welcome even more international students into the ISH family – but we need your help to make it happen.

Our goal: £100,000 by January 2026

This page shows the funds raised by our amazing alumni community as part of that Opening Doors Appeal. Lots of lovely businesses and other supporters are helping us reach the target and THIS is what the ISH alumni are raising in our 60th year. Thank you!

Why it matters

Talented students are turning down places at London's world-class universities because they can't afford the cost of living. Academic scholarships cover tuition – but without affordable, supportive accommodation, dreams remain out of reach.

For 60 years, ISH has provided more than just a place to stay. We offer a true home from home where students from across the world build lifelong friendships and support each other while studying far from family.

Every amount matters. Whether you give £10 or £10,000, you are helping open doors for the next generation.

Be part of our future

Many of you reading this will have your own ISH memories – late-night conversations, weekend brunches, lifelong friendships. Now we're inviting you to help create those moments for the next generation.

Donate today and open doors for talented students who will shape our world for generations to come.
