Itacaré is a truly unique place: where tropical rainforest meets the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by stunning beaches, jungle, and vibrant wildlife. Located in Bahia, this region is the heart of Afro-Brazilian culture, famous for its Capoeira, Samba, and deep traditions.

For the children who grow up here, the ocean and rivers are central to daily life, but they also pose a significant risk. Many children never learn to swim, making them vulnerable in an environment they constantly interact with.
