Story

Meet Jacob, we took Jacob in just before Christmas he was being given away free on a social media page.

A lovely supporter who spotted the advert convinced the owner to hand over to a rescue and when they finally agreed he was transported here by another lovely supporter at her own expense.

It was soon very obvious that Jacob had severe ear problems, both were badly infected, painful and bleeding, he immediately saw our vet who advised Jacob needed a TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) operation on both ears. Having lost most of his hearing already, the operation has rendered him completely deaf.

Jacob is a very timid boy who is worried by lots of things and he really deserved to be out of pain as he clearly has been suffering untreated for a very long time.

The unexpected bill we are now facing for the operation is approx £2k, the vets have reduced the cost for us but this has still put a real strain on our resources.

Jacob is worth every penny but if you can help in anyway please do, every pound donated really will help us and Jacob. He has been let down in his passed life and we will not let him down again.

Jacob is available for adoption and anyone interested should call the centre on 01488 638584 or visit our website.
