This charity rehomes and rehabiltates unwanted or abandoned animals, cats, dogs and ex-battery chickens. We provide shelter for them until the right home is found. As a small independent charity, we rely on the generosity of our staff, volunteers and local community to keep our work going.

Story

Jake recently returned to WARS after his new owner could no longer care for him and he has been looked after and adored by everyone here at WARS, staff and volunteers alike.

His limp has become more noticeable and upon a routine veterinarian check-up, it has been discovered that Jake has Patella Luxation.

Luxating patella is a condition in which the patella, or kneecap, dislocates or moves out of its normal location. Patella luxation is a common condition in dogs, particularly small and miniature breeds.

This has come as devestating news to us here at WARS but we know we can count on our amazing supporters to help us fund this operation and ensure he receives the best care.

Once completed, then he can begin his recovery and start to find his new forever home to spend the rest of his days relaxing and adoring his new best friends.

Please help us help Jake.
