Tamworth Samaritans was established in 1970 - we have been helping callers from across the UK and supporting the Tamworth and Lichfield communities for 55 years this year.

We are an independent charity. We are affiliated to the national Samaritans charity but we are responsible for raising the £35,000/year to run our branch.

A branch run entirely by volunteers. Our longest servicing active volunteer, Cathy, joined in 1981 and we train approximately 16 new volunteers every year.

£5 helps us hep one person in their hour of need

£25 covers the cost of a two-volunteer, three-hour shift

£750 keeps our branch open for one week
