Studies like this are vital in identifying new and innovative solutions across trauma and orthopaedic conditions. They help treat those who are in severe pain, disabled by Osteoarthritis or recovering from life changing trauma or illness. The British Orthopaedic Association helps fund Clinical Trials Units, enabling ground-breaking developments and allowing people like Sheila to regain their freedom and independence.

Sheila said Before the operation I was unable to wash and dress, basic activities were difficult, the pain in the shoulder was extreme and at times unbearable.
