JBMS was set up in honour of John Bradburne, to relieve people at Mutemwa, Zimbabwe, who are suffering sickness and hardship from leprosy and other diseases, through the provision of supplementary food, medicines, medical care, and shelter, with the objective of improving their conditions of life.

Story

I am Fr Colin Carr (a Dominican Friar). Last October, I walked 82km over 10 days to celebrate my birthday on the 8th October. No prizes for guessing my age, especially since this year I plan to walk 83km!

As I grow older, I become more aware of life's fragility and preciousness, and I deeply value the lives of others, especially those living with leprosy in Mutemwa, whom John Bradburne cared for so passionately.

Living at Blackfriars, Cambridge I will be using my Steps App to track my progress daily.

This year, JBMS has specifically requested funds to support all the children living at Mutemwa by helping pay for their school fees, uniforms, and shoes.

I would be deeply grateful for any support you can provide for my sponsored walk.

Thank you, Fr Colin.
