JCoSS is a state funded local authority school in Barnet which educates 1300 Jewish students aged 11-18 yrs old. JCoSS is the only cross communal Jewish Secondary School in the UK. Our Pears Special Resource Provision is an integral part of JCoSS offering 50 places for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. With increasing government cuts the school no longer has the extra monies available to update technology, provide a dynamic programme of extra curricula activities, run certain GCSE/A Level courses or to provide vital support for our PSRP students.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to join us at Grandparents' Afternoon. We really hope you had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing your grandchildren flourishing within their school environment.

JCoSS is truly a special and unique Jewish Secondary school where your grandchildren are at the heart of everything we do and we are wholly committed to their every success. Our goal is that they leave JCoSS as fully rounded Mensches who to go on to enrich and inspire others with all they have achieved during their school journey.

We would love to be able to purchase new items for the school and your grandchildren, but as we are a local authority state school we receive little funding for such items and so we rely heavily on community donations. We desperately need new science equipment, new IT equipment to replace outdated items, books for the library, text books for lessons and new equipment for the playground. All of these things would help us provide an even better environment for your grandchildren and so any help and support that you may be able to offer would be hugely appreciated.

Your donation would help us to support the school in many ways, for example:

£50 Sports equipment

£100 Books for the library

£250 Essential text books for lessons

£500 Vital science equipment or musical instruments

£1,000 Replacing essential outdated IT equipment
