Jeffrey Long MBE is again walking for charity, this time in aid of the Lord mayors appeal which this year is to Bradford Cinderella Club.

At 93 years young, an ex paratrooper, Jeffrey is not stranger to walking having covered thousand of miles raising in excess of £300,000 for various charities, and this despite a parachute malfunction in 1953 casing a painful back injury which still cases issues to this day.

The walk this time will be from Centenary Square to our offices in Chapel Street Bradford and then back and doing circuits of Centenary Square.

Fingers crossed for a safe walk and no injuries, unlike the broken ankle he had during a past fund raising event!

For the past two years Jeffrey has been struggling with his walking which he has had to reduce from 15 miles a day to two due to the pain walking causes. Being rather unsteady on his feet, this challenge is all the more remarkable.
