Jemima has recently started running and did her first park run on 21st September. After volunteering at a fundraising event for Downright Perfect Jemima has decided to take on the Bournemouth Run 5k on 12th October at 7pm to support the charity further.

Downright Perfect is a small registered charity run by a small team of volunteers. The support they provide children with Down's Syndrome and their families includes;

- New parent information packs distributed by local maternity units

- Parent/carer information and peer support workshops

- Subsidised counselling for parents/carers

- Financial grants enabling children to access specialist therapies and resources

- Annual training programme for local midwifery services

- Regular Pre-Schoolers groups supporting development

- Events and day trips providing tailored experiences to meet member's needs

As a small charity with almost no overheads, every penny donated really does make a difference and enable Downright Perfect to create an empowered community, enriching the lives of children and young people with Down's Syndrome in Dorset.
