Jerry Bradley takes on the Dorset Doddle for Dorset Blind Association

I'm taking on the 32-mile Dorset Doddle to raise funds for Dorset Blind Association. Every donation will help provide vital support to people living with sight loss across Dorset. Thank you for your support!

The Dorset Blind Association is a local charity providing services, support and advice to visually impaired people throughout Dorset. Our aim is simple - to ensure that everything we do is geared towards helping to make life better for visually impaired people in Dorset.

Story

On Sunday 23 August 2026, I'll be taking on the Dorset Doddle, a demanding 32 mile walk from Weymouth to Swanage along the beautiful but challenging South West Coast Path.

I'll have just 12 hours to complete the route, and I'll be joined by my volunteer guide, Michael, who will be supporting me every step of the way.

I'm taking on this challenge to raise funds for Dorset Blind Association, a local charity that provides practical support, advice and companionship to people living with sight loss across Dorset.

As someone living with sight loss myself, I understand how important that support can be. Dorset Blind Association helps hundreds of local people every month to live more independently and stay connected with their communities. Their work makes a real difference, and I'm proud to be raising money to help them continue supporting people across our county.

The Dorset Doddle will test both my physical and mental endurance, with steep climbs, long miles and a tough time limit. But knowing that every donation will help someone living with sight loss will keep me motivated all the way to the finish.

If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Dorset Blind Association continue providing life-changing services to people who need them most.

Thank you for your generosity and encouragement. Together, we can make a real difference for people living with sight loss across Dorset.
