On Sunday, October 25th, something remarkable will happen on the tarmac of JFK Airport: The Family Center will take flight.

Our Board members, Leadership Council, staff, and — most powerfully — the clients we serve will walk and run together in the JFK Runway Run, side by side on one of the world's busiest runways. For one extraordinary morning, that runway won't belong to planes. It will belong to us.

The Family Center has served New York City families for decades, providing critical support to children and adults affected by life-altering events. We walk with families through their hardest moments — offering mental health services, legal services, and care coordination so no one has to face life's most difficult chapters alone.

On October 25th, every step we take on that runway reflects the steps we take every day alongside our clients. When a parent is ill, we show up. When a child is grieving, we show up. When a family needs help navigating an impossible situation, we show up.
