Over the course of 12 weeks, JL12 have a series of challenges to try. The activities are to help raise funds and increase awareness for the types of projects we work with.
Feel free to do what is right for you & don't forget to share your progress by tagging us in your Social Media posts or dropping us a note to tell us how you've got on.
Not all activities are suitable for everyone, please always consult with your doctor before taking part in the physical activities. Always warm up before an activity and only work to what you feel is comfortable. JL12 is not responsible or liable for any injury or loss you may sustain by taking part.
For 12 weeks from the 12th December until 5th March, you could:
1. Move More - Add an extra 12 minutes of physical activity per day, every day for 12 weeks (eg: walk, dance, skip, wheelchair, jog, bike or swim etc)
2. Distance Challenge - Go for a 12 kilometre walk, jog, swim, run or bike each week x 12 weeks
3. Park Run - Take part in your local free park run for 12 weeks (www.parkrun.org.uk)
4. Mindfulness - Take some quiet time and practice mindfulness for 12 minutes per day
5. Acts of Kindness - 12 extra acts of kindness over 12 weeks
6. Read - Commit to reading every day for 12 weeks
7. Stretch More - Take time to stretch for 12 mins every day to improve your flexibility
8. Gratitude - Write down 12 things you are grateful for each week
9. Time to Chat - Make time to have a chat with 12 people, this can be to catch up with your loved ones and friends or even meet 12 new people over the 12 weeks
10. Learn a Skill - Allocate time in your week to learn a new skill and practice for 12 weeks to see how you progress
11. Social Media - Cut down on your social media for 12 hours per week
12. New Year - Identify and write down 12 things you would like to do or achieve thoughout 2024 and create a plan on how you will achieve these :)
JL12s goal is to add value to projects, by creating small funding opportunities for organisations that are engaging with disadvantaged children and young people, providing them with positive pathways to succeed.
