Jo Cox was a passionate campaigner, activist and humanitarian; a proud Yorkshire lass and internationalist; and a devoted mum, daughter, sister, wife, friend and MP.

After Jo's murder in 2016, The Jo Cox Way was established as an annual event to remember her and bring to life the words of her first speech in Parliament, when she said "we have more in common than that which divides us".

Starting in Batley & Spen - Jo's hometown and constituency - this five day cycle to London brings together people from all backgrounds through a love of cycling and a shared goal. Participants have reflected on the sense of community that The Jo Cox Way creates and countless friendships have been formed through it over the years since it started.

The ride raises money for The Jo Cox Foundation, the charity that makes meaningful change on issues that Jo was passionate about. All the money raised will be used to help us continue bringing communities together around the UK, celebrating Jo's more in common message.

As one participant in the Great Get Together community celebration last year said:

I now feel like no matter what you look like or where you may originally be from we all have something in common and that's what makes us feel like we belong.
