Dear Friends,

Play With A Legend will be hosting a football game in memory of our dear friend Joe Lyons on Bank Holiday Thursday 2nd June 2022 at Selhurst Park, home of Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Joe was a talented radio producer, who at the time of his passing was a Senior producer on the Capital FM Breakfast Show, working with his very close friend Roman Kemp. His passing came as an unbearable shock to all his friends and family.

You may have seen a documentary last year that Roman presented on the BBC called our silent emergency. It was a show Roman made looking at suicide and mental health in young men. The uplifting ending was the creation of Joes Buddy Line - a charity set up by Joes family to provide mental health workshops in schools, run by certified mental health professionals, and the provision of a range of mental health initiatives. Our itinerary will look like this:

11.45am: Arrival For Players

12.15pm: Warm Up

12.15pm: Recommended arrival from this time for spectators

12.45pm: Football Match Starts

2.30pm: Football Match Ends

2.45pm: Post Match Event with Presentation from Joes Buddy Line

Play With A Legend are covering all costs for the event and we are hoping we can raise a significant total for the charity. Every penny donated or fundraised is going straight to the charity and whilst the guide value of the experience is £250, if thats a figure beyond what you can contribute, we of course understand and want you to come and join us anyway.
