Malawi Leaders of Learning St Roch's and Holyrood Visit June 2026

In June 2026, a team of eight students from Holyrood and St Roch’s Secondary Schools in Glasgow will travel to Malawi for 10 days to work with primary school learners supporting their learning and delivering sports

Malawi Leaders of Learning continues to make a difference – in whatever way – to improve learning and teaching in our Malawian partner schools. With each visit to Malawi, by Glasgow teachers and education officers, we witness evidence of improvements – particularly with new school libraries.

Story

Life is excruciatingly hard in Malawi. Our young people from St Roch's and Holyrood Secondary schools in Glasgow have a lifechanging opportunity to share learning and experience a wonderful people

We cry and pray for the children – we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t - but we must use MLOL to help improve the education of as many children as we can and this will be our lifeline to the most in need – in Glasgow and Malawi.

As Mandela said: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’.
