Organised by Bampton Heritage & Visitor CentreBampton Heritage and Visitor Centre is dependant on volunteers, donations and fund raising to research, conserve and showcase Bampton local history, promote the town and its businesses, and offer a wide range of information to visitors.
The Bampton Heritage and Visitor Centre is located inside St. Michael and All Angels Church. Displays include local history boards, artefacts, photographs and an 8 model of Bampton as a railway town. There are fascinating short films including those about the old Bampton Railway and the Charter Fair. Childrens activities include a Quiz and a Family Trail. It also acts as a tourist information point, has souvenirs for sale and takes bookings for guided town walks.
