2nd Edgware and 1st Finchey Scouts are teaming up for a once in a lifetime adventure! In July 2026, we're heading out to Switzerland, to spend a week camping at Kandersteg International Scout Centre.

Why Switzerland?

This camp has been a request from our Scouts for the past few years - so we thought for our 2026 Summer Camp, let's make it happen. Kandersteg is home to the world's only International Scout Centre, where our young people will get the chance to meet Scouts from all over the world and engage in Jamboree activities with them. To share experiences with peers from all different countries is an incredibly formative experience to have, in an increasingly divided world

There will also be time to explore this new country, hike around the beautiful Swiss Alps, and try adventurous outdoor activities that just aren't possible in the UK. For our group of young people from Barnet, this camp is a very special opportunity.

What will my funds do?

Donations towards the camp can help in many ways. Some will go towards supporting participants who can't meet the full camp fees, whilst some will go towards the camp budget (e.g. transport, food, accommodation and activities). This page is part of a few fundraising initiatives both Troops are working hard on over the year to help secure the final costs for this camp to be a success!
