Wendy Holmes (co-founder of the charity) has spent years travelling to the poorest corners of the world to help orphans in the direst of need. She has visited orphanages in Romania, Latvia, Armenia, Jamaica, China and Liberia.

As a result of these trips she has seen the dire need for funding and investment into the lives of children living in unbearable conditions without the basic essentials of life. For the last 12 years she has had a right-hand woman younger sister Cynthia Goodison who joined her with her charitable work in China and the Philippines.

Together they came up with the vision for the Kids Around the World Charity Shop.

Kids Around the World Charity Shop opened in 2012 and operates with a vision to invest into the lives of children around the world. Children will be housed, fed, clothed, educated and loved and even receive free life changing surgery as a result of people's cast-offs and unwanted items. It is an independent shop within the community of Woodseats, Sheffield and we couldn't be more grateful for the donations we receive and the customers of the shop which have made it possible for us to raise the funds to improve the children's lives we support.
