"Why doesnt she have a proper bed and something to eat?"
Our children often challenge us with simple, provocative questions. With the festive season approaching we thought we could involve our children in doing something positive for the people they see sleeping on the streets.
So we are asking for your support for our "Rough Sleeper Street Bag" project. Donating just £5 will allow our school children to assemble and give people experiencing homelessness a bag filled with some of the essential items we all take for granted such as a water bottle, gloves, sanitary products, a toothbrush, toothpaste, travel size wipes, tissues, shower gel and shampoo, lip balm and high energy snacks.
We aim to create 300 bags, one for each school child so our fundraising target is £1500.
