This year, across some of the world’s most crisis-affected regions, thousands of orphaned children are growing up without the protection, care, and stability of a parent.

For these children, hardship is not seasonal. Hunger, illness, missed education, and emotional trauma are part of daily life. Without support, their future remains uncertain.

Orphan care is a lifeline. It is the difference between a child surviving alone - or growing with dignity, safety, and hope.

The Prophet ﷺ, who was an orphan himself, said:

"I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together. [Bukhari]
