During this Coronavirus outbreak, your help will be vital to enable us to continue to provide some form of support to our families and their very young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments. In light of the Government's advice on 16th March to stop all but essential contact, we took the decision to close our doors to families and staff. But our children's needs have not changed, and we do not want their functional, social and communication skills to regress. We know that we can continue to have a positive impact on their lives, on their well-being, on each child's ability to move, to sit, to grasp, and to communicate their needs and understanding.
The world around us has changed very quickly and we urgently need your help and financial support to adapt our service so that it can continue to have a positive impact on our families and their children. In the same way that our founder and President, Dame Vera Lynn, provided positivity and spirit to the soldiers and their families during World War II, we here at her Children's Charity would like to be able to help our families to continue to smile through this very troubling time.
We are facing a very challenging time at the moment, and know many people are worried about the future. We are greatly encouraged that despite these struggles, we have seen people joining together with Dame Vera Lynn as she celebrated her 103rd Birthday on 20th March.
Please join us and donate now to our 'Keep Smiling Through' Appeal. All the money raised will enable us to continue to provide help and support to our families through this Coronavirus crisis.
