Help us keep someone's door to recovery open
At the end of this year, one of SCT's doors will close.
Rising costs, a tougher fundraising climate and real pressure on charity retail have meant hard decisions. Closing our Walthamstow shop was one of them. Now we're asking for help, so that pressure doesn't reach the services behind our other doors.
We need to raise £200,000 by 31 March 2027.
What happens behind our doors
Our doors first opened in 1965. Today you'll find them across East London from our charity shops to the art room in our Training and Development centre and the many bedroom doors throughout the supported housing we provide. Every year, more than 200 people we support walk through them.
Coming here was the best thing that ever happened to me. It gave me a second chance. - Former Resident
We get no direct government funding. Our charity shops and donations from people like you help pay for the work.
Community has been the engine behind our charity, and that's why we're asking the wider community to help us once more.
Please donate today to support life beyond addiction and homelessness. Every gift keeps a door to someone's recovery open.
