Story

Coleshill Parish Church spire is probably the most well-known and best-loved local landmark for many miles around. For those who live in Coleshill it helps us find our way home, for others it helps navigation, and for all it points us heavenward when we need reminding that we are not alone. God is of course with us day and night, and lighting the spire in the darkness is therefore a potent symbol of hope.

Maintaining the spire lights and lighting them is expensive but we are convinced it has great value for people. Ordinarily people pay £20 to light the spire for a special anniversary or celebration, but now in this time of national crisis we are lighting it every night. Our hope is that many will want to help Keep the Light On - literally - and also in the sense of supporting the church at a time when it is more vital than ever but regular income is much reduced. Although our building has to be closed, services continue (check out or Facebook page), pastoral care is still available (please get in touch if you need someone to talk to) and ministry to bereaved families is a very significant part. We are in this together - many need the Church at this time - and the Church also needs you. Help us to Keep the Light On and fulfil our mission: 'Standing for Christ at the centre of our community; Inspired to share God's love with everyone.' Thank you.
