Story
The coronavirus has hit every organisation hard but small charities have been affected particularly badly & we're no exception. All fundraising was diverted to overheads to ensure we are still around when its safe to return. As vaccine research progresses, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Until that time, and as we've now reopened, we're keeping our members safe by reducing the number of people in each session. We've also reduced the number of sessions per day to give us the time needed for extra cleaning. These changes have obviously affected the income coming into our Centre; income that's needed to pay the bills and pay for the oxygen.
We've been very lucky so far in that our mammoth fundraising efforts have allowed us to remain viable but we still need to raise more.
We need to:
* Raise money to go towards masks for those members who can't afford to buy their own
* Raise money to cover the cost per seat of the oxygen provision
* Raise money to pay for the PPE and cleaning products that we've been unable to blag (thank you Morrisons Netherfield)
* Raise money to ensure that all equipment is maintained to its highest standard
As a charity we are not 'for profit'. Any cash surplus goes directly back into the Centre. Every penny we can raise helps. Thank you.
