The priority for RSPCA Doncaster & Rotherham District Branch is to take in animals that have suffered cruelty or neglect and have been rescued by RSPCA Inspectors, if we have the capacity we will always try and help members of the public with an unwanted animal & our aim is to rehome.

Story

At present the branch has 40 main kennels and 5 isolation kennels on site. These are located across 5 separate blocks. Over the course of a year, we look after around 300 dogs, as well as cats, rabbits, small animals and wildlife.

As a self-funded, local charity we are reaching out for support to undertake an extensive and vital refurbishment.

All the blocks are in need of refurbishment to further improve animal welfare. The proposed refurbishment will ensure:

- less stress for dogs as a result of quiet-close hatches

- a warmer environment with draught-proof hatches

- easier to clean environment

- increased longevity of the blocks through remedial works undertaken to the exterior walls
