Story

Kenneth Morrison will be swimming the English Channel - his tide between September the 6th and The 12th - starting at Shakespeare Beach in Dover, and swimming all the way across to the French coastline. Point to point this is a 22 mile challenge, however it is likely with the tides and conditions that the actual distance will exceed this as he weaves his way across!

Kenneth has decided to embark on this swim in aid of Avalon, to raise much needed funds for a charity of which he is a Trustee. Avalon supports parents and children impacted by autism by offering therapies for young children to help them reach their potential as well as respite for families. All funds raised will go directly towards funding therapies for children in Carlibar Primary school this year.

Please support us if you can!.

About the charity

Avalon was set up following the Autism diagnosis of our daughter Ava in 2015. We provide access to family respite services and access to therapies for children to enable them to reach their potential. Our aim is to help children thrive and to strengthen the familiy unit to keep families together.
