Help Us Raise £92,000 for Erme Valley RDA's New Mechanical Horse
For over 40 years, Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled (RDA) has been a place where children and adults with disabilities discover confidence, friendship, and independence. At the heart of our community are our horses.
Passing the Reins: From Jack to Ketchup
For many years, our trusted mechanical horse, Jack, has been a vital part of the Erme Valley family. He has enabled people to participate when riding a living horse isn't always possible, helping them build strength, balance, and confidence and supporting therapeutic and educational journeys.
But after years of hard work, Jack’s condition means that further repairs can no longer be reasonably or safely justified and he’s ready to retire.
Our new mechanical horse will be named Ketchup, a very special link to our history. The original Ketchup was one of Erme Valley’s best loved horses. She gave 15 years of service to the centre before retiring, and sadly passed away recently at the age of 32.
Forty years ago, Ketchup was also one of the very first horses at Erme Valley when our stables were established. Bringing her name back honours her memory while marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
Help us bring Ketchup home
The total cost to bring Ketchup home is £96,000. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we’ve already raised £4,000, leaving us with £92,000 left to raise. Your donation will help us replace Jack and protect an important part of the support Erme Valley provides.
•Donate: Whether you give £10, £50, £100 or more, every single contribution brings Ketchup one step closer to Erme Valley.
•Share: Tell your friends and family about Ketchup and share our campaign.
•Fundraise: Organise your own fundraiser or introduce Erme Valley to someone else who may be able to help.
Please help us bring Ketchup home. Thank you for supporting Erme Valley RDA and the incredible people who make it so special.
