Story
In honour of our heroic frontline workers and those we have sadly lost during the pandemic, this summer we are encouraging our supporters in the UK to take part in the Khalsa Aid #23in24 Challenge 2021. This can be done on location or virtually.
Lockdown has been a tough time for us all and we want to help inspire you to refocus your energy both mentally and physically. We know many of you have been keen to get back outdoors so this will offer you the ideal opportunity to explore nature and support a great cause at the same time.
Entrants of all abilities are welcome to join and can take part from any location in the UK, at your own pace and time. Your progress will be logged on the downloadable Strava app, which links to the Khalsa Aid JustGiving page.
Take part on location:
You have until 30 August 2021 to trek up either one of the three highest peaks of Scotland, England or Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon). If you are feeling brave you are welcome to take on all three peaks as three separate walks.
We can assure you, standing at the summit will be an unforgettable experience, as will seeing the magnificent views from the mountain slopes if you're lucky enough with the weather. You can celebrate your huge achievement with obligatory photos at the top and then as you descend, you will continue to see the spectacular landscapes unfold before your eyes.
Take part virtually:
If you would prefer to take part in the challenge virtually you are welcome to select a location of your choice by completing the total walking distance of the 3 peaks which is 23 miles within 24 days (#23in24), just be sure to complete by 30 August 2021.
