Story
This year, five incredible runners are taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon to support Kids for Kids and the forgotten children of Darfur. Every mile they run represents the daily struggle of families who are facing unimaginable hardship.
Darfur is in the midst of one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Children are starving. Mothers walk for hours each day just to find a little water. Families who once relied on their animals for milk and income have lost everything. Starvation is at its highest levels in years — and without urgent help, the situation will only get worse.
That’s why your support matters so much. Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide life-saving essentials: nutritious food for malnourished children, blankets, soap, mosquito nets, seeds to eat now and plant for next year, and sustainable help that gives families a chance to survive and rebuild.
Kids for Kids has been transforming lives in Darfur for over two decades, giving remote villages the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. But right now, the need is greater than ever. Children are hungry today, and together, we can make a real difference.
Please support our runners and help us bring hope, nourishment and a future to the children of Darfur. Your kindness could quite literally save a child’s life.
