Kilburn Music Mile 2026: bringing people together through music
**Rooted in Kilburn. Open to everyone.**
From **3–11 December 2026**, Kilburn Music Mile brings live music into our pubs, streets and cultural spaces, with **most events free to attend**. From grassroots performances and outdoor stages to a spectacular finale with the **Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Gaumont State Theatre on 11 December**, there is so much to celebrate.
Your donation helps make it possible and keeps more of the festival free and accessible.
# More than a festival
A pub full of people enjoying a live band. A choir member finding the confidence to perform. Local musicians sharing their talent, and an audience coming together inside the magnificent Gaumont State Theatre.
This is Music Mile: a celebration of music, community and connection.
Kilburn has a rich musical history and a community shaped by many cultures and generations. Music Mile celebrates that heritage while creating opportunities for today’s local talent.
Alongside established performers, we make space for grassroots musicians, our community choir and people developing their skills through music tuition. For some, it is a chance to perform. For others, it is a reason to leave the house, meet people and feel part of something.
Music can start a conversation, build confidence and turn strangers into familiar faces.
# Local roots, a welcome for all
In 2025, Music Mile brought around **200 musicians** into our Pub Takeover, while **2,000 people** gathered for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Gaumont.
The photographs and film on this page capture some of those moments: the talent, the atmosphere and the people who made it special.
This year, we want to build on that spirit, with free community events alongside ticketed performances. Whether you live nearby, are returning to Kilburn or are visiting for the first time, you are welcome.
# What your donation will help fund
Putting on a community festival takes more than enthusiasm. Your contribution will help cover:
- **Musicians and performers**, supporting grassroots talent and a varied live programme.
- **Sound, equipment and technical support**, helping performances run smoothly.
- **Venues and festival delivery**, making music possible across Kilburn.
- **Free community events and opportunities to take part**, helping keep cost from becoming a barrier.
Our **£5,000 JustGiving target** will contribute towards these costs, alongside ticket income, grants and sponsorship.
Whatever you can give, you will be helping turn plans into performances and bringing people together through music.
