Action Medical Research is the UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. We have been funding medical breakthroughs since we began nearly 70 years ago and have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. We are now driving forward childrens research, including in the fight against COVID-19.

But although theres been lots of progress in medicine, tragically there are still some children who wont survive.

Like the two hundred and forty children who die from cancer each year in the UK and the one thousand premature babies who dont survive.

Were on a mission to save and change childrens lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures.
