Kisumu Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital

Asian Foundation for Help jointly with Lions Clubs and Pranasha are raising Funds for the Lions Eye Hospital in Kenya that shall benefit the community at large in Kisumu and surrounding areas. We hope to raise in excess of £ 50,000 for this cause.

Asian Foundation for Help was established in 1983, for acting as a link between those who can help and those who need help, we seek to make an all round progress and thereby riding poverty, blindness and other diseases and improve standards of living.

Story

The mega project in being constructed in a Five acre site and will serve Western Kenya and the lake basin region which is currently underserved. At present people from the the region have to travel all the way to Nairobi for Eye treatment. Apart from serving more than 80 inpatients and 400 outpatients daily, the eye hospital shall also be used as a teaching and referral eye hospital handling emergency cases of eye ailments.
