At Kingsley Organisation, we support disabled adults to pursue their ambitions by valuing each person as an individual and enabling opportunities and choice.
We offer a choice of learning activities and training, enabling participants to achieve their personal goals, along with counselling and emotional support. We also provide volunteering opportunities with training in work and employment skills.
As you can imagine, the last couple of years have been extremely difficult with the onset of the pandemic. Lock-down in March 2020 required Kingsley Organisation to change its services from face to face to remote, a first for us, and to date, a unique way to continue supporting our participants and their families. With grants, donations, financial help from our local authorities and central government, plus an incredibly motivated staff team we managed to keep our disability support services going.
During 2021, we gradually reopened and welcomed back our participants who enjoyed the return to some well needed normality, despite ongoing Covid limitations, especially for vulnerable people.
We are working hard on building a sustainable and long-term viable organisation for disabled adults. With social care funding under ever more pressures, we are seeking additional funds to help re-energise Kingsley Organisation and deliver our range of services.
As we will be turning 35 in July 2022 we are asking people to donate £35 or whatever they can afford. All donations will go towards the running of the charity which includes our services for disabled people in North East Hampshire and Camden and services for the wider community at our head office and community hub the Kingsley Centre.
