We’re working towards a future where good food goes to people, not waste. Together, FareShare and KPMG are turning surplus food into social change, strengthening communities across the UK.
1 in 7 people in the UK, including 3 million children, can’t afford enough food. Meanwhile, 4.6 million tonnes of edible food is wasted before it reaches people’s plates. That’s enough to make 10 billion meals.
FareShare is the UK’s leading food redistribution charity. They redistribute good-to-eat, surplus food to 8,000 local charities and community organisations. In turn, these organisations transform it into parcels and meals to feed over 1 million people, while also offering holistic support services to address the causes of food poverty.
Over the course of a three-year charity partnership, KPMG UK will work together with FareShare to make sure good food goes to people, not waste. For every £1 raised by KPMG, FareShare will be able to redistribute the equivalent of five meals to people in need.
