Why we need your support?

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is an independent charity at the forefront of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). KSS is a vital part of your communities, your lives and your safety.

It costs £16.6M a year or £45K per day to operate our world leading, life-saving service with 87% of our total income raised through the incredible generosity of our supporters and 10% through NHS commissioning funds.

Over the past three decades we have been tasked to over 40,000 incidents, saving lives and improving patient outcomes from the skies above Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Team KSS is a highly skilled, diverse multi-disciplinary team of doctors, paramedics, dispatchers, fundraisers, marketers and support staff. They're driven by their purpose of saving lives and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. KSS bring the emergency room to the scene and deliver life-saving, critical care. They can perform open heart surgery, deliver anaesthetic, and administer life-saving blood transfusions.

But with your support, KSS can achieve more. When they arrive on scene, our patients need us to be at our very best. That’s why we’re continuously innovating and striving to improve our treatments and technology. We share our knowledge and expertise, so our impact is felt worldwide. But it’s felt most here in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
