Kurkum has a loving home waiting for him in the UK — a place where he will finally be safe, adored, and cherished. We are fundraising to cover his travel costs from Bahrain to the UK, including his flight and onward transport, so this sweet boy can begin the next chapter of his life.

Kurkum’s journey began when he was found as a tiny kitten hiding under a car near a feeding spot in Bahrain. Hungry, frightened, and keeping his distance from the larger cats around him, he was clearly struggling. As his rescuer approached, she noticed a strong, unpleasant smell — a sign that something wasn’t right.

A vet check confirmed that Kurkum was suffering from calicivirus. With prompt treatment, patience, and lots of love, he made a full recovery.

Once safe, Kurkum began to blossom. He was shy at first, but it didn’t take long for his true personality to shine through. Today, he is a confident, cuddly, affectionate boy who adores attention. He enjoys being carried, hugged, and showered with head rubs while he naps. He’ll happily wander over for love on his own, or come running when his foster mum calls him for cuddles.

Now, Kurkum’s happy ending is within reach. All that remains is raising the funds to get him safely to the UK — to the home that’s ready and waiting for him. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring this loving boy one step closer to the life he deserves.
