Lakeland Arts, like many cultural organisations up and down the country, is struggling to keep its doors open. We weathered the storm of the pandemic but are now facing both economic and climate crises which impact our ability to raise income. Now we need the help of our community to secure our future.

We have been caring for remarkable collections, welcoming visitors into our museums and providing programmes for the local community and schools for over sixty years.

We have experienced many ups and downs and gradually grown into the Lakeland Arts we are today – a group of passionate staff and guardians of four brilliant museums and collections.

We need your help to continue and build on our work inside our museums and throughout our communities. We want to work more closely with schools, visitors and our communities, support more artists, craftspeople and makers, conserve our collections and keep our museums affordable, inspiring and welcoming to all.

Vital donations raised through the Futures Fund* will support our work with communities in Kendal, Windermere and throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire, using art, culture and heritage to change and enrich lives and to contribute to thriving communities.
