Story
After running a great time in the GNR I decided to continue my half marathon challenges with the Edinburgh Half in May 2025
As a mum of two young boys you worry about the ‘what if’s’ with your children’s health – what if my child gets cancer, it doesn’t bare thinking about does it?
There are so many worthy causes out there but a chance conversation with a colleague at work really struck home with me.
Mel told me Josh’s story and it just struck me like a ‘Usain’ Bolt this was who I needed to run for and to raise funds for other children that are experiencing rare teenage cancers like Josh.
Sadly, Josh lost his fight nearly 4 years ago, but his family and friends are still raising money for other families in need of support, Josh’s Osteosarcoma Support and Help are continuously raising funds to provide children with life limiting or life changing cancer diagnosis to have holidays and make memories with their loved ones in Northumberland.
So on what would have been Josh's 20th Birthday I will be pounding the streets of Edinburgh, I will be raising money for those kids and of course in Josh’s memory – will you help too and support me with some pennies or pounds for this worthwhile charity – I promise I will do Josh proud and run my socks off.
Thank you in advance for any donations you kindly send my way to pass on to Josh’s charity team.
