Hi guys!

My name is Lauren , and on what would have been Josh’s 20th birthday on the 25th of May 2025, I will be completing the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise money for J.O.S.H - Josh's Osteosarcoma Support and Help Foundation.

Josh was a one in a lifetime person - and someone who not only truly deserved to see life’s full potential, but was excited for what was supposed to lie in wait for him, and I have missed his laughter, happiness and soul everyday since it left this earth almost four years ago.

The J.O.S.H charity dedicates themselves to creating funding for children like Josh in our North-East Area, who have received life limiting or life threatening childhood cancer diagnosis - with the purpose of creating opportunities for them to make those precious memories with the ones who love them most via respite holidays / holiday accommodations.

By running this half marathon I hope to raise money to support this truly beautiful organisation for someone who will forever hold a place in not only my own but all the hearts of those who knew him.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to run this race in the memory of someone who had such an influence on all those who crossed his path - and know he is now sat up on the sun, painting the incredible sunsets that we have seen since he left this world.

Josh truly deserved to grow up to the age of 20 and beyond - and I hope to make him proud
