Story
Lavey5000 is a community fundraiser in aid of our new Chapel.
We are calling on everyone in the Lavey community - young and old, near and far - to take on a challenge between 8 and 14 June 2020.
1. Choose your challenge - Walk, Run or Cycle (please observe local guidance on social distancing)
2. Donate and share the distance you covered on this page (you can leave a message with your donation)
We aim to travel 5,000km collectively and have some fun along the way! Ordinarily, at this time of year, we would be congregating at the Chapel for special events like First Communion, Confirmation and Cemetery Sunday. Whilst we cannot be together in person this year, Lavey5000 is an opportunity for us to be together in spirit. So please join in, encourage everyone in your household to take part and forward it to Laveyites further afield - let's spread the word from Lemnaroy to London, Carnaman to California, Broagh to Brisbane and Drumard to Dubai! We would love to see photos and videos of your challenges - share them with us on facebook or twitter.
If you would prefer to make your donation by cash or cheque, you can do so in the normal way - put it in an envelope (along with details of your challenge) and post it at either the Parish Office letterbox, the collection box at the front of the Church or the box in Boyle's shop in Gulladuff.
