LAYTON METHODIST COMMUNITY FILM NIGHTS w/ FOOD

In December 2021 our aim was to start a monthly movie night for the community on a 150inch screen with food. We have now shown 24 movies and provided c2100 meals. We are wanting this to continue long into the future, please consider donating to us.

The Forward Centre was created by Layton Methodist; an inclusive and safe space for the whole community to use. This centre will enable us to teach people to Cook and IT. With a host of community activities. All with an aim of improving the economic, social and health impacts that affect us all.

Story

Since December 2021, our aim has been to provide entertainment through monthly family film nights showing films old and new on a large screen (150 inch) to replicate a cinema experience.

The evening starts with nourishing meal (not a snack) drinks, plus treats during the film. A family

With no mainstream cinema currently in Blackpool, the nearest 5 miles away a ticket for 4 plus treats and transport (without a meal) is circa £35, totally unaffordable at a time of massive food and energy bills.

We have to date shown 24 movies and provided over 2100 meals, our format is a great success and have setup this campaign to keep this going into 2024 and beyond.
