💚 Why We’re Running the 2025 Santa Dash

This December, the Liverpool Bereavement Service team is lacing up our Santa boots once again to take part in the Liverpool Santa Dash 2025 — because we believe no one should face grief alone.

​

Grief touches everyone — whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a life-altering separation, or the pain of miscarriage or child loss. It can feel overwhelming, isolating, and impossible to navigate. That’s where Liverpool Bereavement Service (LBS) comes in.

​

Since 1998, we’ve provided a safe, compassionate space for individuals and families to express their emotions and begin to heal — completely free of charge for those living in Liverpool.

🌿 What Your Donations Do

​

Every donation helps us keep our doors open and our counselling rooms warm, welcoming, and ready for anyone in need.

​

Your support funds:

- 1:1 specialist counselling for adults navigating loss and trauma.

- Creative therapy for children and young people through our Oakleaf service — helping them express their feelings through art, play, and storytelling.

- Everyday essentials that keep our charity running, from tissues and tea to lighting and cleaning supplies.

- Improvements to our therapy spaces — this year, we’d love to raise enough for new furniture to create a more comfortable, calming environment for clients and volunteers alike.

We’re more than just a bereavement service — we’re a lifeline.

For over 25 years, Liverpool Bereavement Service has supported thousands of adults, children, and families across the Liverpool City Region. Our dedicated team of qualified counsellors and volunteers give their time and expertise freely to ensure that support is available to everyone who needs it — regardless of their ability to pay.

But we can’t do this alone. As a self-funded charity, we rely entirely on the kindness of our community to keep providing this vital support.
