Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

JOIN OUR WALK 1 SEPTEMBER 2024, TEMPLE NEWSAM AT 12:00PM

Airborough, Leeds, Headingley, Roundhay and White Rose Rotary Clubs are organising a sponsored walk to raise funds in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK.

Bring your family and friends on this sponsored walk and spend a day supporting this amazing charity we're all getting behind. The event will be a 5k (3mile) distance around Temple Newsam + a shorter route for children and anyone that is physically challenged.

Every pre-registered walker will receive a t-shirt and a medal upon completion of the challenge, so please make sure to sign up and start fundraising for the event before you join us on the 1st of September. Deadline for signing up is the 25th August 2024.

Registration and t-shirt collection will be open from 12:00pm, and we set off officially on our sponsored walk at 12:30pm and expect to finish at 15:00pm when you can then head into the café at Temple Newsam for some refreshment.

There are various parking spots on site, both free and pay & display. Dogs are also permitted, but please make sure they are well behaved in public and are on short leads at all times.

Thank you for your support and contribution to this wonderful cause. We hope everyone who walks can raise £100. Just so you know, every £20 donation funds an hour of research locally, so we're proud to take on this sponsored walking challenge and fundraise together for Alzheimer's Research UK and fund many hours of research in Yorkshire.
