Let's Get Active for Men's Health

Campaign by Caring Minds

The Men’s Staff Network are participating in a ‘Let’s Get Active for Men’s Health’ challenge to raise awareness about men’s health and wellbeing.

Enhancing a person’s visit to BSMHFT can make all the difference to their wellbeing, improving recovery and overall experience of our services. We aim to support the best possible facilities and environment for our service users, carers, visitors and staff to maximise and compliment experiences

Story

Men’s Mental Health Month - 60 lives every 60 minutes

The Men’s Staff Network is participating in a ‘Let’s Get Active for Men’s Health’ challenge to raise awareness about men’s health and wellbeing. We are getting active by running, walking or moving a total of 60km throughout November. This distance symbolises the 60 men lost to suicide every hour worldwide and we aim to make every step count.

We will be:

• Moving and Getting Active: Running, walking or moving 60km throughout the month, either individually or as a team.

• Sharing our Journey: Sending photos of our activities, whether it’s our running route, a scenic view, a team meeting or simply jogging on the spot by our homeworking desk to the Men’s Staff Network. Including a quote on why you’re moving for Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month and helping us spread awareness. We’ll share these on the Men’s Staff Network webpages.

Together, we can encourage men to talk, reach out and seek support.
