Light their Houses with Love

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine provides comfort for the families of pediatric patients and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of all children.

It is tradition in the United States that November is a month of being with family, eating warm, hearty food, and thankfulness. There is another November tradition honored in America and internationally: GivingTuesday. The intention behind GivingTuesday is to set aside a day that is all about celebrating the generosity of giving.

This year we hope to line our Houses with luminaries in honor of your donations.

Individual donations are truly the way that our organization continues providing comfort and stability for families with seriously ill or injured children all year long. Through this platform, giving a gift of $25 or more means you or someone special to you receives a luminary placed at the Bangor House or Portland House. While a gift of $50 you will receive that honorary luminary, as well as a kit for your home!

Do you want to get your friends and families involved in this holiday celebration? JustGiving has made it possible for others to create fundraisers for us too! You can create a fundraiser with a goal to raise $300 or more and your group will receive a candle in your honor lit in a window at the Bangor House or Portland House. If your fundraiser raises $600 or more, you will receive the honorary window candle, as well as custom RMHC Maine glass jar luminaries for their top 3 donors.
